Pet/Animal Sculptures and Urns
A
treasured pet is often considered as another family member. Each pet has
its own special personality that can be captured in bronze as a head study
(portrait) or a full figure sculpture.
A bronze memorial portrait
or full figure sculpture can also act as a cremation urn that will be a
permanent memorial and a way to remember a loved pet
forever.
Sculpting a pet's likeness is not just about reproducing
a statue of a certain breed. It is about capturing the essence of each animal's
individual vitality.
The best time for a sculptor to capture a
pet's personality is while the animal is still alive. If this is not a
possibility, the sculptor will work from photographs supplied by the client. As
many photographs as possible that the client can provide are
appreciated.
The sculpture can be finished in a brown or green
renaissance patina or can be given a lifelike patina to reproduce the beauty
and individuality of the pet. (There is an extra cost for lifelike
patination.)
